If you’ve taken your Open Water Scuba Diver course and are now ready to expand your knowledge but would like to see what is out there first, then the Advanced Adventure Diver course is for you! The Advanced Adventure Diver course will give you an overview of five different scuba diving specialties. Two of the required specialties are the Deep Diver and Navigation Diver specialties which are the foundation of continuing diver education.
By earning the Advanced Adventure Diver certification you will have increased abilities and comfort in the water, be exposed to other types of diving that you might want to invest more time in, and be ready for the next step, Advanced Diver.
Who this course is for:
- Any certified open water scuba diver who wishes to expand their diver knowledge and skill set, who would like to receive their advanced certification, and/or who would like to experience an introduction to additional scuba diving specialties.
Course Structure:
This course, is run by our highly qualified instructors and is divided into 3 areas:
- Academic Training (delivered via eLearning)
- Open Water Training (conducted in Lake Travis, TX)
Course Prerequisites:
- Minimum age 18, 12 with parental consent (Junior divers, ages 10-15 can only take specialties approved for their age)
- Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent certification
- Limits for Junior Divers:
- Deep Diving: Maximum depth for divers 10-15 is 21 metres/70 feet
- Dry suit: minimum age is 12
- Wreck: minimum age is 15 with limited wreck penetration
